On Friday, September 26, Cafe Paradiso welcomes Fairfield performers Lee Ross and Meredith Siemsen for a comedic night of “Cirque & Cinema Stories,” two wildly entertaining behind-the-scenes tales from their former lives on the stage and screen. With a career that began in standup comedy and evolved into mime performance, award-winning screenplay writer Lee Ross will recall his outrageous, once-upon-a-time overseas tour as the lead clown for Cirque du Soleil’s “Saltimbanco” show. Actor-writer Meredith Siemsen will open the night with the hilarious, high-stakes story of the movie role that almost took her down for the count. “From unhinged Russian gymnasts and onset moviemaking mayhem—to magical twists in life that you never see coming,” says Ross, “it’s going to be a rollercoaster night of storytelling!” Arrive early if you want a good seat.
