Intro to Fondant Cakes

About this class:

Curious about fondant but not sure where to start? This beginner-friendly class is the perfect introduction to working with this smooth and versatile decorating medium. We’ll begin with the basics, learning how to properly frost a cake to create the perfect canvas. Then we’ll dive into rolling, covering, and smoothing fondant for that flawless finish.

Once your cake is covered, the fun really begins. You’ll get hands-on experience using a variety of fondant molds and tools to create custom decorations that bring your cake to life. Whether you're going for cute and simple or bold and detailed, you’ll leave with a cake you're proud to show off and the confidence to try it again at home.

No experience needed! Just bring your creativity and get ready to have fun!

Students will be provided with all the supplies needed to complete your fondant cake and a box to take your finished cake home in.

Note: This class will NOT include learning to make the flowers shown on this cake. This class is only to learn to decorate the cake.

Meet Your Instructor:

Steph Lawshe has always loved to bake, but her passion for cake decorating didn't start until she made a wedding cake for her sister 8 years ago. It was one of her most rewarding experiences and she hasn't stopped decorating since! She enjoys sharing her skills and passion for cake decorating and loves to inspire her students to achieve new levels of creativity and expertise!

All The Details:

• Age Level: 16+
• Skill Level: Beginner - Intermediate
• Each ticket includes 1 person
• All supplies and tools are provided for use during class.
• We will provide a box to take your cake home in
• The class may be a little messy so we recommend bringing an apron.
• If you have long hair, you may want to tie it back.
• Class requires a minimum of 2 people and there is a maximum of 6. In the event of insufficient enrollment, you will receive a full refund.
• Class will run approximately 3 hours. Please note that the class is hands-on and may run over or under schedule.

Cancellation Policy:

Changes and cancellations...we know life happens so we try our best to be flexible while being fair to our instructors who purchase supplies and bake for each student. Full refunds or credits are available for cancellations made at least 5 days prior to the class. If you need to cancel after 5 days but at least 48 hours in advance, we can offer you a credit for a future class. We cannot offer any credits for cancellations within 48 hours of the scheduled class.
