Join us for a presentation from Sarah Schmitt, M.Ed. on “25% of People are Neurodivergent. What does that mean for you?” Sarah is the Founder and Executive Director of Witness to Dignity, a nonprofit providing disability and mental health support to churches and private schools. Sarah has worked as a Behavioral Therapist, Special Education Teacher, and since 2016 as a Behavioral and Educational Consultant. Sarah has always had a passion for access and faith. After volunteering and working in ministry since high school, she started Witness to Dignity in 2018 with the hope that churches would become the first place people find access and belonging.

Gather with fellow youth, campus, and young adult ministry workers for this evening of prayer, fellowship, and formation as we go deeper into this topic relevant to our ministry! All are welcome. No cost to attend. Use this as an opportunity to get your team on the same page—invite your core team and adult leaders to help them feel valued as a key part of your ministry.
Pope St. John Paul II reminded us of Jesus' call to "Put out into deep water" (Luke 5:1-6). In ministry we can view this as a challenge to reach out to all young people through comprehensive ministry programs.
Deeper Waters seminars offer relevant and actionable information to help each of us engage young people in the Diocese. These seminars are designed to tackle various aspects of Youth, Campus, and Young Adult Ministry and are open to all: Directors of Youth Ministry, Campus Ministry, Young Adult Ministry, Directors of Religious Education, priests, volunteers, etc.!
PLEASE NOTE: If you RSVP here, please indicate if you are going to be there for dinner. Please RSVP by Friday, October 3, so we will have enough food ordered. You may also call Clarissa at (703) 841-2559 or email her at
