October 10-12, 2025
CMO is a timed event covering 5 to 15 miles on horseback. Riders attempt to find 5-10 markers using a map (provided) and compass. Riders may compete as individuals or teams. There will be a pre-ride clinic and practice session if needed before the ride. You will need an orienteering compass (example: Silva 7), available at many camping and discount stores. CMO is a fun sport for all ages and disciplines. NEWCOMERS WELCOME!!

FACILITIES: 198 well-defined sites — some with electrical hookups, sites with electric, water, and sewer, primitive sites, and 12 rustic cabins available for nightly rental. Stalls available to rent for $10 night. Picket poles available, bring your own rope (no cost to Picket)

RIDE FEES: $12 per rider per day, Juniors $6. Non-members of NACMO will pay an additional $5 for one-day membership to cover insurance. *** The park charges a $10 trailer fee for entrance for day riders
