"The wheel is turning and you can't slow down, you can't let go and and you can't hold on, you can't go back and you can't stand still... if the thunder don't get you then the lightning will"
This winter we said fare thee well to Bobby Weir after an incredible 60 years with the Grateful Dead. So thankful the music never stopped.
And there's another good ride from start to end that we'd like to celebrate, and that's the retirement of Dick and Joni, after an incredible 45 years owning and operating Ivory Jacks!
It's time to hit the Goldstream trails with friends new and old, two-legged and four-legged*. Hit the bar, tip your bartenders, and get ready for some friendly competition! Ski, skijor, mush, bike, run, bikejor, runjor... in other words, we allow any non-motorized mode of transport. And we love dogs! (*Three-legged dogs are welcome too! We had one pull a skijorer one year.)

Costume Theme: What a Long Strange Trip it's been!
After all, the Ivory Quest was founded by a bunch of Deadheads.
There will be two parts to the race course: first loop, a one hour mandatory layover inside Ivory Jacks, second loop; 9ish miles total. Followed by an awards ceremony that will take place when it's clear the top finishers are tired of waiting around for the Pink Lantern to arrive...
PSA: We're always looking for snowmachine support. Volunteer your time and sled, or just your sled and let one of our trustworthy volunteers borrow it.
