Spotlight on Handwriting

This training gives Subject Leaders the opportunity to consider and discuss best practice in the teaching of handwriting from EYFS to Year 6.
Are your children’s handwriting skills helping or hindering their development as writers? Indeed, does handwriting matter?

Programme contents will cover:

Handwriting: the latest research and national guidance
Expectations of handwriting through EYFS, KS1 and KS2
Unpacking the elements of handwriting through the ‘4Ps’
Ways to support left-handed writers
Advice around good resources to support handwriting
This training will be delivered via Zoom and the materials referenced will be available digitally.
