The City of Everett is excited to invite all residents to kick off the new year by witnessing a special moment in our local history.
On Monday, January 5, 2026, we will hold the official Inauguration Ceremony to swear in the elected officials who will serve our community for the 2026–2027 term. This event marks the beginning of Mayor-elect Robert Van Campen’s first term leading the city, as well as the start of a new session for your City Council and School Committee members.
This is a free event open to the public, and City Clerk Sergio Cornelio encourages families, friends, and neighbors to come out and show their support.
“This is always a special night for our community,” said Cornelio. “It’s a chance for residents to come together, support our elected officials, and share in the excitement of a new term. We’re looking forward to seeing everyone there.”
