Join the Adopt A Stream Foundation community for a new Streamkeeper Academy class, All About Mushrooms with Kelli Marks of the Snohomish County Mycological Society. Kelli will lead an informative discussion where we'll talk about Pacific Northwest fungi and learn how to properly ID mushrooms!
This is a 101 level session to get you comfortable with heading out on a foray to find interesting and sometimes edible fruiting bodies! You will learn which resources are the best and how to tap into the mycological world at your feet!

Tickets will be available in the Nature Store day of, however preregistration is recommended. Register today online at www.streamkeeper.org or by calling 425-316-8592. All proceeds go towards providing environmental education curriculum through Streamkeeper Academy programs and classes.
Before and/or after the presentation, all ticket holders will have the opportunity to take a stroll on the Northwest Stream Center's accessible, elevated boardwalk through forest and wetland habitat and perhaps spot some mushrooms along the way!
About Kelli Marks – Naturalist, Folk Herbalist, and Mycology Educator:
With over a decade of experience as both a naturalist and folk herbalist, and more than 20 years as a dedicated gardener, Kelli Marks brings a deep-rooted passion for the natural world—especially fungi. She has served in leadership roles on several mycological society boards, including as trustee and vice president, where she has helped shape community engagement and education around mycology.
Kelli is a seasoned foray leader, guiding groups through forests to discover and identify fungi in their natural habitats. Her work extends into citizen science through iNaturalist, where she contributes to projects that consolidate fungal findings for scientific research. Each fall, she teaches a popular mushroom identification class as part of her club's public wild mushroom show, helping to foster curiosity and confidence in fungal ID among enthusiasts of all levels.
Whether in the field, classroom, or community, Kelli is committed to sharing the wonder and ecological importance of fungi with others.
