Trapper er vel høstens "dark horse" på Moskus, han må du sjekke ut. Et talent uten like. Americana-kometen fra Wisconsin ble for alvor lagt merke til med det kritikerroste albumet "Siren Songs" i 2023, innspilt i Johnny Cash-studio i Tennessee.
Sanger og gitarist Trapper Schoepp er klar for Norgesbesøk i oktober, trio med bassist og perkusjonist. Trapper Schoepp (uttales sjepp) slo an tonen i 2019 med singelen ”On, Wisconsin”,sangen som han nylig hadde komponert sammen med sjølvaste Bob Dylan.
Omfattende turnévirksomhet på begge sider av Atlanteren har skaffa oppkomlingen eit lydhørt publikum, etter innimellom å ha delt scene med musikalsk likesinna som The Jayhawks, Jesse Malin, Old 97’s og The Wallflowers.
Det rykende ferske albumet ”Osborne”, ute på Blue Elan Records, inneholder 11 spor, produsert av Mike Viola (Andrew Bird, Dawes) og Tyler Chester (Jackson Browne mfl.).

“ In 2019, the Milwaukee singer-songwriter published a long lost song with Bob Dylan called “On, Wisconsin” - making him the youngest musician to share a co-writing credit with the Nobel Prize laureate. The song led to a #1 trending article in Rolling Stone and over a hundred tour dates worldwide!!
In 2025, Trapper Schoepp will release his rawest work yet titled ‘Osborne’, which traces his path through addiction and chronic pain brought on by BMX accidents in his youth. ‘Osborne’ lends its name from the unit Trapper was in at a Minnesota rehab facility and is also a nod to the songwriter's muse Ozzy, who attended the same facility.
Recorded in a California church basement, Trapper sings his truth against a backdrop of vintage drum machines, synths and distorted guitars.
Trapper will tour through Europe in October and November, as well as supporting artists in the USA ranging from punk rocker Laura Jane Grace, to 70s hitmakers Three Dog Night. “This kind of music is a living, breathing artform that really comes to life when shared,” Trapper says. “I can’t wait to take these songs to the people.”
