First Wednesday Volunteer Day

First Wednesday Volunteer Day is a monthly, hands-on stewardship opportunity with the North Salem Open Land Foundation, offering a chance to get outside, get your hands dirty, and support local conservation efforts.

In March, volunteers will take part in general stewardship and conservation work on NSOLF preserves. Activities will vary depending on weather and site conditions and may include tasks such as invasive species management, trail maintenance, or data collection. No prior experience is necessary, and all instruction and tools will be provided.

The exact location will be determined closer to the event date and shared with registered participants. Please dress for variable late-winter to early-spring conditions.

Whether you are a longtime steward or new to volunteering, March’s First Wednesday Volunteer Day is a great way to connect with fellow community members, enjoy the changing season, and help care for North Salem’s protected open land.
