Dearest Reader,
You are cordially invited to an evening high tea celebrating the 250th anniversary of Jane Austen's birthday at the Loutit District Library. Celebrate the beloved author’s milestone birthday with tea, treats, and timeless charm. Guests of discerning taste will delight in teas provided by local tea shop, Lucky Tea, and partake in finger sandwiches, scones, and desserts worthy of Lady Catherine herself. Entertainment shall include instruction in the genteel art of Whist, a pastime sure to spark both competition and conversation.
Each registered guest will have the opportunity to select a vintage teacup to use during the event and take home as a keepsake. And as any true gentleperson knows, one must always sip in style. Thus, period-inspired attire is encouraged (though not required).
