EMT-B Certification Course (Traditional/In-Person) - Spring 2025

Our Spring 2025 EMT Course will meet in-person on Monday & Wednsday evenings from 1800-2200, starting on 5/5/25. We will also have several full-day Saturday skills labs on the following dates: 7/19, 8/25. Tenative state skills testing date: 9/13/25.

Syllabus and schedule are subject to change as needed at Course Coodinator's discretion to meet the needs of course administration.

IDHS EMT Course # (pending)

Prerequisites:

• High school graduate or GED
• Must be able to provide vaccination records
• Must be able to pass standard background test & drug screen
• Must have current AHA BLS Provider CPR certification

(VCFD will be hosting a complimentary BLS Provider course for any students who need CPR certification prior to class start date. Click on this link to register!)

Details:

• Arrangements for $1100.00 tuition are due at first class session.
• Course fees do not include NREMT testing costs (approx. $100/testing attempt).
• Tuition includes textbook, ID badge, class materials, t-shirt and polo shirt for clinicals. Students will need to provide the remainder of clinical uniform (navy pants, black boots, black belt), however, these are not required by class start date. Many students elect to purchase their own stethoscope as well. Details for these items will discussed after the initial class session.
