🎲🎉 New Year's Blowout and Gaming (aka “How We Accidentally Played Until Sunday”) 🎉🎲
We’re ringing in the New Year the best way we know how: surrounded by friends, food, drinks, and an unreasonable number of board games.
This is a multi-day, come-and-go board game hangout, not a rigid schedule. Show up when you can, play what you want, stay as long as you like.
🕔 New Year’s Eve – After Work / Whenever You Get Here
We’ll kick things off with lighter, social games — party games, social deduction, Jackbox, and anything that’s easy to jump into without committing your entire soul.
There will be food, wine, and general hanging out, and we’ll casually drift our way toward midnight together. No pressure, no countdown stress — just good vibes and cardboard.
🧠 New Year’s Day (Jan 1) – The Main Event
This is the day for serious gaming.
We’ll be starting early and going late, with multiple tables running all day. Expect heavier games, longer plays, strategy, thinking, and probably at least one game where someone says, “Okay but if I had one more turn…”
Jump in for a single game or settle in for the full marathon — both are totally fine.
😴 Friday – Recovery Day
An intentional break.
Sleep. Hydrate. Relearn how chairs work.
🎲 Saturday & Sunday – More Gaming
We’re back at it for a full weekend of gaming. Games throughout the day, plenty of table space, and lots of opportunities to play both heavy and lighter games depending on energy levels.
🍕🍷 Food & Drinks
There will be lots of food and drinks available all weekend, free for everyone.
If you’re able, please bring something to share — snacks, drinks, meals, whatever you like. This event runs on cardboard, friendship, and grazing.
🧑🤝🧑 Bring Friends
Board gamers, casual gamers, “I’ve only played Catan once” gamers — all are welcome.
Feel free to invite friends who might enjoy hanging out, playing, or just eating snacks and watching games happen.
Come for one evening, one day, or disappear into the weekend with us.
Play heavy. Play light. Or just hang out and talk while someone explains rules badly.
Let’s start the New Year with games, friends, and far too many snacks. 🎉🎲
