Poetry as a Vehicle of Change w/ Alicia Swain

Don’t miss the chance to sit down one-on-one with featured poet and author Alicia Swain ahead of her October 16 reading at Poetluck! This interactive workshop invites participants to discover how poetry can spark conversation, deepen empathy, and inspire change.
Participants will explore how poetry can be used to reflect on life experiences, process current events, imagine the lives of others, and consider new perspectives. By the end of the workshop, attendees will have studied examples of poets who have accomplished these goals and will create their own poem inspired by, or in response to, one of the works discussed.
