The Unbranded
A band. A movement. A philosophy. Join us...
The Unbranded started as a solo project by singer and guitarist Kyle Pivarnik. He wasn’t sure exactly what type of musical genre his work was falling into, other than “some kind of rock.” Combined with his lack of tattoos and his career in marketing, the name The Unbranded emerged.
After re-locating to Oregon, Kyle teamed up with Michael Rose (bass), and Daniel Brawley (Drums) and the band was formed.
“When I was younger, punk rock opened up a world view that was foreign to me. Bound by rigid religious views that were imposed on me, I didn't know it was OK to feel the way I did. To question what we were told. And that I wasn't alone. We want to create music that does that for people.”
From there, it has grown into creating safe spaces for the voiceless, connecting people in a disconnected/disenfranchised world, and questioning our cultural assumptions.
Drawing musical inspiration from 90’s skate punk, grunge, and alternative bands, The Unbranded embrace a less than perfect aesthetic. “Everything is so polished these days. I think people are looking for something a bit more real and authentic. We want our music to capture that raw tinge while still existing in the modern production spectrum.”
All are welcome.

Their sound has been described as “melodious heavy alternative with elements of classic rock,” giving them a distinctive edge that doesn’t neatly fit into one genre.
