A French-American artist based in Brooklyn, Leila Bordreuil embraces the cello as a primary medium for crafting an intense music that moves fluidly between noise, contemporary composition, improvisation, and drone, without anchoring itself to defined canons. Bordreuil challenges conventional approaches to her instrument and uses extreme amplification to summon torrents of noise, tense stillness and a melancholic aura that courses through her sonic flow. Her panoramic vision of form and genre is reflected in her diverse collaborations with artists including Laurel Halo, Lee Ranaldo and Tamio Shiraishi.

Originally from Paju, South Korea, bela (they/them) is a musician and performance artist based in Berlin and Prague. Their work combines electronic music with pungmul—a Korean folk tradition rooted in agricultural rituals and social movements—and raw vocals influenced by extreme metal.
Using heavy distortions and guttural cries, bela turns pungmul into a ritual of queer rage and grief. Their debut album 'Noise and Cries 굉음과 울음' (2024) was co-released on Subtext and Unsound. It includes five avant-garde basement experiments and two ambient pieces, reflecting on the precarity of life in South Korea, queer identity, broken relationships, and survival.
In spring 2026, bela will release Korean Love Sonnets, their new album on Subtext. The project centers on heavy vocal work and explores the acoustics of the voice and the relationship between body and space. bela approaches romanticism in a tactile way; through the use of feedback and resonance, a somber and intimate experience emerges. The live project premiered at Atonal earlier this year.

Farida Amadou is a self-taught electric bassist and sound sculptor based in Brussels. Known for her raw, intuitive approach to improvisation, she has become a vital force in experimental music, collaborating with artists such as Thurston Moore, Peter Brötzmann, and Moor Mother. Blending free jazz, noise, and deep rhythmic structure, Amadou creates immersive soundscapes that balance intensity with clarity. Her solo work, including the acclaimed 'When It Rains It Pours', showcases her unique ability to shape spontaneous sonic worlds with power, precision, and emotional depth.
