2026 Interior Alaska Beekeeping Workshop with Dawn Cogan, Science-Based Art of Alaska will be February 28th and March 1st from 1:00PM - 6:00PM for a total of 10 hours. This is a family-oriented workshop that is hands-on. The venue will be announced this coming week. Cost: $195.00 per family.

New, used or building your own equipment. • Preparing equipment for the arrival of bees • Insulation, feeding bees properly • Preparing for the arrival of bees • Is the queen marked? Using a queen-marking tool • Running 2-Queen Hives • Swarming and how to prevent it • Honeybee diseases • Extracting your Alaska honey • What to do at the end of the season/wintering over • Storing your equipment • Beeswax candle making
