“Protect Yourself from Computer Scams” Training

Please join us at an upcoming “Protect Yourself from Computer Scams” Training for community members. Scammers are getting more and more clever, and unfortunately many in our community have been targeted. To help us all stay safe online, there will be a free community training on computer scams here in Essex Junction.

📅 Date: Wednesday, October 8th
🕖 Time: 5:30 – 7:00 PM
📍 Location: Community Room at the Essex Police Department (145 Maple Street)

At this session, we’ll cover:

* The most common types of online and phone scams targeting Vermonters

* Warning signs to watch for

* What to do if you think you’ve been targeted

* How to protect your personal information

This training is open to all community members and will be offered in partnership with AARP Vermont. Bring your questions and concerns. Together, we can look out for one another and keep our community safe.
