Hike Smart Colorado: Tips to Enjoy the Colorado Outdoors Safely - Presented by Colorado Parks & Wild

Join Ranger Jim Schwartz and Nature Educator Heather Valey from Eldorado Canyon State Park for a presentation on how to enjoy our state parks safely. Learn how to prepare for the trail, what to do if you encounter wildlife such as bears or snakes, and how to practice “Leave No Trace” principles to keep our wilderness beautiful. Rangers will also bring hands-on activities and games for families, making this a fun and educational event for all ages.

Whether you’re new to hiking or an experienced adventurer, you’ll leave with practical tips and the confidence to explore Colorado’s trails safely.
