Successful Strategies for Planting Year-Round

Plants can be expensive! So you don't ever want to lose a plant from improper planting techniques.

After planting tens of thousands of plants, from large, mature trees, down to annual plugs, we have tried-and-true techniques that are successful at getting plants to survive the transplant process - even on the hottest of summer days!

Learn from Horticulturist and Head Gardener/Owner Amy Brown, in this part lecture, part demonstration, where we discuss how to pick out plants at the nursery, what to look for, what to do with "root-bound" plants, how to prep the soil, prep your plant, and finally, get it in the ground. We will go over after-care, and what to look for to see if your plant is struggling.

We don't lose many plants in the ground, and we will share all the tools, materials, and supplements we use to ensure success in your own Gardens. We will also share our favorite places to purchase plants, both locally and online.

This lecture & demonstration will take place in our Private Gardens, and gives each attendee access to the Laughing Goat Botanical Gardens, typically closed to the public.
