Drawing Queer is an observational drawing workshop facilitated by Desire De Lacy. Thinking about bodies, gender and space. The workshop focuses on deconstructing and challenging the traditional ways of viewing and understanding what a body is and does.
It forms part of a wider series of workshops in collaboration with Sam Valenzuela @samystosa and Didre Schutte @beautiful_and_beast
The series of workshops focuses on queer thinking and questioning through drawing, philosophy, writing, movement exploration and music.
For the first season of workshops we will focus on Drawing, philosophy and writing.
We will have a workshop each month for the next three months. In October we will be Drawing, November there’d be a philosophy exercise to deconstruct queerness, and we will end the season writing queer stories.
