An evening with shorebirds

We are excited to announce a new event- an inaugural shorebird night here at the marsh!

Come on down to the north end parking lot at 6:00pm on Aug 28th for a short guided walk where experienced shorebird-enthusiasts will introduce you to some of the species that can be found in Ontario. Shorebirds are known to have some of the longest migrations of any birds! Come learn about these spectacular long distance travellers and what makes them so extraordinary.

Diet and life history

We will also try to Band some shorebirds! So there may be a chance for some up close experience with these amazing birds!
