Evening Book Group

The evening book group is back! Join them to discuss White Noise by Don DeLillo as they kick off a new season featuring picks on the theme, 'So Then This Happened.' Limited copies will be available to borrow at the desk.

The satirical novel White Noise follows Jack Gladney, his fourth wife, Babette, and four ultra-modern offspring as they navigate suburban life, consumer culture, and the fear of death. When a toxic chemical spill unleashes an "airborne toxic event" and a lethal black chemical cloud floats over their lives, Jack is forced to confront the fragility of existence and the illusions of modern life.
