A Walk-Through Time

Join the rangers at Red Top Mountain as we explore the battlefield of a lesser-known but significant battle of the American Civil War. We will discuss the events that led to the battle and have the chance to see the old forts used at the time. If you are interested in history, don’t miss out on this exciting opportunity!

This hike will be held at the Allatoona Battlefield, which is located just 15 minutes away from Red Top Mountain State Park. Please arrive 10 minutes early. To reach the battlefield, take I-75 South to exit 283. Turn Left and the battlefield will be on your left in 1.5 miles. This is a pre-registration event, so please call the Visitor Center to make your reservation.
