EMERALD 100 CALCUTTA

Tickets will go on sale at the Calcutta from 6.00pm.
Bar will be open and finger food will be served.
Everyone is welcome.

When the Calcutta commences, a horse is drawn and a ticket is drawn until all the horses that are competing in the Emerald 100 are drawn.
When it comes to the auction, those people who draw a horse have the option to either buy it back or sell it. If they choose to sell it, they have gained half the purchase (auction) price. If they choose to purchase it themselves, they only pay half of the purchase price.
The Calcutta pool will start with the sales of the tickets.
As the horses are auctioned off, half of each horse sale adds to the pool. The bidding can get quite heated and rapid, particularly on the ones that are the more fancied horses.
The next day, after the Emerald 100 is run, the Calcutta prize pool is distributed with 60% of the pool going to the person that bought the winning horse. 30% goes to the 2nd place getter and 10% to the 3rd place getter.
