Yin & Restorative Yoga Foundation
HYER Shala • Embrun, ON
Learn • Practice • Experience • Integrate
Yin and Restorative Yoga continue to evolve as essential practices for our modern world supporting nervous system regulation, emotional resilience, and embodied awareness. These complementary approaches invite us to slow down, soften effort, and cultivate deep presence.
Through long-held, supported postures and guided stillness, students are invited to explore the deeper layers of the body: fascia, joints, ligaments, bones, energetic pathways, and the subtle intelligence of the nervous system. This creates the conditions for deep listening, inner regulation, and a meditative state of awareness that extends far beyond the mat.
This training is designed for practitioners and teachers who feel called to deepen their understanding of Yin and Restorative Yoga, not only as physical practices, but as pathways for healing, self-inquiry, and conscious presence.
Over the four-day training, you will be guided through an immersive experience that blends:
•In-depth practices and study of Yin Yoga principles
•Restorative Yoga techniques and sequencing
•Functional anatomy with a focus on fascia and joint variation
•Nervous system awareness and regulation
•Trauma-sensitive language and the art of holding space
•The uniqueness of each body and why postures must be adapted—not imposed
•Observing sensation with curiosity
Refining your ability to teach from presence
You will learn to move away from rigid alignment models and instead develop a more intelligent, individualized, and compassionate approach to practice and teaching.
This training emphasizes experience, awareness, and embodiment.
