Thursday, August 28th performers with “Fries for Charity”
Lady Blond Duo
Local ladies Helen Parsons (Metcalfe) and Michele Cochrane (Russell) make up the dynamic duo Lady Blond. Helen and Michele have been playing music together for over twenty years and were both members of the Diamond Heart Band. Through their musical career they have had the pleasure of playing at local fairs, curling clubs, dances, private and charity events. They get great pleasure entertaining at many of the retirement residences and long-term care homes. Lady Blond plays a variety of music that will make you feel good and want to get up and dance. With Michele on lead vocals and Helen on the keyboard and background vocals, these two ladies know how to entertain. It might be old songs or new, country or soft rock but there will be a song for you!
Fries for Charity will be at this event raising money for the Care Centre.
Colin from BH Coffee Roasting makes an awesome cup of coffee and serves it for donations.
Stephanie from Loughlin’s Country Store in Hallville will be bringing more butter tarts and cookies.
Corey & Connie from the Metcalfe & District Lions Club will be selling chips and water as well.
There will also be a kids lemonade stand with donations going to The Lions and the Care Centre.
