The Masked Hour: Where Your Voice Matters—a free community masquerade event hosted at Lorain County Community College in January/February 2026. This evening is designed to uplift youth and families by normalizing conversations around mental health, celebrating resilience, and connecting guests with trusted resources.
We would be honored to collaborate with NAMI Lorain County by inviting one of your mental health experts to serve as a speaker. Our goal is to provide guests with practical education on living well with mental health conditions, while also inspiring hope and dignity through shared stories.
Event Highlights:
🎤 Speakers: Youth and mentor voices, plus expert perspectives on resilience and wellness
🎶 Music & Dancing: DJ-led mixers to foster joy and connection
🖊️ Activity Stations: Affirmation Mask Station, Kindness Card Exchange, and Icebreaker Wall
📸 Legacy Photo Booth: Guests capture moments of courage and belonging
🫂 Follow-Up Support: Mentor sign-up cards, resource handouts, and future gatherings
Why Your Voice Matters Here: Your expertise would help ensure that attendees leave not only inspired but also equipped with tools and knowledge to live well with mental health challenges. Together, we can create a safe, stigma-reducing space where young people and families feel seen, supported, and empowered.
