***SOLD OUT***
Farm families are smart and get a lot done each day. So, they are frustrated when they cannot seem to make progress towards building a clear plan for the future.
Patti Durand, transition coach from Humboldt, Saskatchewan, will provide examples and insights of helpful approaches, tactics and strategies to get moving and stay committed to creating a transition plan the family and farm can be proud to call their own.
Inspiration and laughs erupt as special guest, Chris Corbett, (former agriculture executive with Telus Agriculture and Farmlink marketing), does improv with Patti over some awkward succession conversations.
Lunch, coffee, and tea provided. Plus, all participants will receive a signed copy of Patti’s book: The Future Leader.
With nearly 40 per cent of Canadian farmers expected to retire in the next eight years and only 10.5 per cent of local farms having written succession plans, Wellington County has launched supports to help farming families navigate this critical period of transition. Wellington County’s new programme offers families a variety of resources, including a practical planning guide. Learn more at www.wellington.ca/transitionplanning.
