School of Rock Movie Night @ Classic Cinemas York XQ

School of Rock Elmhurst is partnering with Classic Cinemas York XQ to present the 2003 classic "School of Rock." The music-centric comedy film features Dewey Finn (played by Jack Black), pretending to be a substitute teacher at a prestigious prep school. He discovers his students' musical talents and secretly forms them into a rock band to compete in a Battle of the Bands competition. The movie explores themes of music, self-discovery, and the unexpected connections between a teacher and his students. This movie will open with a performance by School of Rock Elmhurst.

Similar to the movie, School of Rock Elmhurst embraces the unique identities of every student who walks through its doors. Students get to pick an instrument of their choice - keys, drums, vocals, guitar or bass - to play in a rock band. Through personalized instruction and group rehearsals, students develop a long-lasting love of music while honing their craft and building friendships along the way.
