🎯 Why it matters: A Message from Chicago Survivors
Over the past decade, Chicago Survivors has served more than 4,500 families affected by homicide. We’re the only citywide organization responding within 2 hours of a homicide report, offering trauma-informed, survivor-led support in the moments that matter most.

But we’re at a critical crossroads.

Since June, we’ve had to lay off nearly 50% of our staff, and the impact has rippled through our core programs, including in-school services, family crisis support, and response time. These are not just numbers, they’re counselors, advocates, and trusted faces in times of unimaginable pain.
