Prostate Cancer Pelvic Health Seminar: A Beth C. Wright Cancer Resource Center Class

Location: in-person at the Beth C. Wright Cancer Resource Center, 23 Commerce Park, Ellsworth, ME 04605 on June 17th from 2:00-3:30pm.
This class is for men with prostate cancer wanting to learn more about pelvic health tools to prepare and overcome some of the side effects from prostate cancer treatments.
The class will offer education on the important body structures and changes involved with prostate cancer and treatment. Attendees will also learn pelvic physical therapy tools, including initial exercises to help get you started.
Participants will gain important insights about:
• Kegels- What are they and will they help?
• What are some of the side effects from treatments and how can physical therapy help?
• When are exercises safe or important to do?
• How do I protect my body or help it recover from treatment(s)?
• When should I contact my doctor or a pelvic physical therapist about a concern?
