Jan 2026 Dance

For our next dance, Kay and Kayla of Bangor area will open up with a 45 min., introductory level Kizomba lesson; they've been teaching this '70-'80s dance derived from Angola's traditional Semba. An opportunity to explore a Central African dance style emphasizing connection and slow, graceful movement. After the class, DJ's will mix in some appropriate music along with tunes from other genres for partner social dancing. Hopefully, something for everyone to enjoy. We're at the Down East Family Y, State St. in Ellsworth on January 17; lesson starts at 7; DJ'd dance music from 7:45 - 9:30. Admission is $10.
