Falls Ridge Preserve
Falls Ridge Road, Elliston, United States
Join naturalists Sandy Weber and Barb Glaser for a leisurely hike around a travertine waterfall nestled in rugged terrain that rises from the valley of the North Fork of the Roanoke River at Falls Ridge Nature Preserve. We will explore the history, geology, plants, and animals of the area. Meet at the preserve parking lot as Falls Ridge is closed to the public and the parking lot is gated. It is important you arrive on time as we will be unlocking the gate for you to park in the gravel lot. The gate will be locked behind the last car, so please plan to stay for the duration of the hike.
