REV. SHARON WATKINS "Build a Longer Table" +POTLUCK!

Regular rotational minister Rev. Sharon Watkins will speak at Mountain Light on Sunday Sept 21.

Building community is an intentional experience. One expands community just as plans for a family reunion intentionally make room for those extended family members who normally are not at the table.

Rev. Watkins will discuss how community is practiced in the UU Church and what it can do to promote others to come to the table.

10:00 AM - 10:30 AM: Coffee and fellowship in person.
10:30 AM - Service begins in person and on Zoom.
After the service: Brief outdoor healing circle.
After healing circle: Potluck - all are welcome.

REV. SHARON WATKINS holds degrees in education, psychology, and theology. She has been a United Methodist minister for 28 years. During this time, she has taught at Candler School of Theology as an adjunct professor. Rev. Watkins has served congregations with memberships of 100 up to memberships of 2,100 as Senior Pastor.

Sharon lives locally and is married to Jerry. They have a blended family of five boys and 8 grandchildren..
