July 26, 2025
Tour Guide Mark Finkbeiner
Washington is a great place for a geology field trip to learn about the past. If rocks could talk, what would they say about the past?
Come with us as we have another great field trip for everyone and homeschoolers. July 26, 2025
We will be learning about the scientific and geological evidences of a universal flood in Washington State as one of the world's most significant areas for studying geological catastrophism, as well as gold mining history, fossils, geodes, thundereggs, and how and where to find them.
About the field trip:
We will caravan to about 10 stopping points along highway 10 and US 97, and historic Old 97 Blewett Pass Highway. We will stop at Liberty, the oldest ghost town/goldmining town in Washington. We will be examining catastrophic mudslides and lava flows. We will stop in at the Creation Science Museum, God’s Exploration Station. The field trip will be done between 3 and 4 PM
