Dave Posmontier, Phyllis Chapell, Ken Ulansey play for the EP Library
We'll be playing all kinds of music from all over the place to benefit the Library, since libraries are such crucial hubs to any community! We'll include latin, klezmer, Irish, French, Brazilian, and small bits of the kitchen sink. A mere $20 gets you in--and there's very limited seating. Phyllis Chapell has spent her life developing a universal musical style singing “world songs.” Her repertoire includes songs in 13 languages from Brazil, Latin America, Europe, Africa and the Middle East, as well as American folk, jazz, originals and popular music. Phyllis Chapell She has released multiple CDs. She also performs with many other musicians/ensembles throughout the Mid-Atlantic Region, and has produced multiple videos. Phyllis Chapell has been named as one of the top 500 jazz vocalists of all time by Scott Yanow (Down Beat, Jazz Times and AllMusicGuide). She has also won song competitions for her original music; and was chosen to be one of Indie-Music’s Top 25.

Dave Posmontier has been playing keyboard since the age of seven and has played professionally since the age of 12.
Dave has performed and recorded with many jazz artists including Christian McBride, James Moody, Chris Potter, Duane Eubanks, Mickey Roker, Bobbie Durham, John Blake, John Swana, Mike Richmond, Bootsie Barnes, Tony Williams (sax), Bob Howell, Chico Huff, Larry McKenna, Steve Giordano, Grover Washington Jr., David "Fathead" Newman, and Johnny Hartman. Currently, Dave is playing, composing, arranging, teaching, and participating in educational jazz concerts.

Ken Ulansey, Penn Council for the Arts winner, plays alto and soprano sax, penny whistle and clarinet. He is a musical chameleon, having played contemporary classical music with Relache—premiering new works by Philip Glass, Robert Ashley, among many others— jazz with his own award-winning band, latin with Synthesis and Minas, and folk music with most of the area’s and even the nation’s leading songwriters. Besides leading his own wedding band that specializes in swing, motown, klezmer, latin, pop, zydeco and oldies, Ken has toured extensively in Europe and the States, played on nearly three hundred recordings, and worked in collaboration with dancers, film-makers, poets and story-tellers.
