Van Wailin' on Peggy's Park Stage Walco Fair

Specializing in hits and b-sides from the 50s, 60s and 70s, this duo takes you on a journey through the radio playlists of your youth.

Whalen and Brian Mitchell combine their talents to deliver the energetic and harmonic sounds of Van Wailin'.

Brian grew up surrounded by pop and rock influences which led him to work as a top 40 radio DJ and perform as a classic rock lead and rhythm guitarist for 20 yrs. He studied guitar and music theory at The Wisconsin Conservatory of Music and continues to write and perform his own original material. His album 'Love and Lies' from 2022 has found broad streaming success in Europe. He and Whalen are currently working on his next original album. Brian's love for harmony and melody is evident in his live performances and in the many songs he has written, recorded and performed.
