Positive Behavior Strategies Virtual Training

Dr. Brooke Winchell is an Associate Professor at The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater in Special Education and Early Childhood Education. She has extensive experience working with children with challenging behaviors and is a certified trainer for Triple P - Positive Parenting Program and Stepping Stones. Dr. Winchell also provides professional development, collaborates with school districts and presents at conferences on the topic of behavior and promoting social emotional development.

Dr. Winchell will share ideas and provide strategies on several topics including an overview on positive behavior strategies, how to prevent challenging behaviors from occurring, understanding the acting out cycle and when to intervene, how to give effective instructions to improve listening, and discuss ways to promote self-regulation skills and guidelines for screen time.
