Pastel Creations: Transform Your Photo into Art (2 sessions 10/8 & 10/15)

In this two-part course, students will bring in their own photo to transform into a unique piece of art using pastel, with a focus on the landscape and natural world style of images—such as flowers, trees, landscape photos, farmscapes, and more. In the first class, we'll explore fundamental techniques and discuss how to best compose their image for a successful artwork. In the second session, students will work on completing their personalized masterpiece with guidance and support. A set of pastels and paper will be provided for each student and can be taken home at the end of class.
