Advanced Grafting Workshop with Andrew Thompson and Joe Kielnerowski who will teach advanced techniques which are ideal for use in small gardens. No pre-requisite, beginners welcome.
After a very successful recent grafting workshop, by popular demand we are offering the Advanced Grafting Workshop to give you further practice and teach more advanced techniques. The presenters are Andrew and Joe from Joe’s Connected Garden and it will be held at Andrew’s Urban Farm where he can demonstrate some further advanced techniques in his own garden. Grafting is a very useful gardening skill to have, especially in these days of smaller house blocks as it enables one to grow several kinds of fruit on the one tree (pictured) which is very handy when space is at a premium. It’s not as hard as it looks and you will have an expert teacher.
There are no pre-requisites for this workshop and beginners will also be taught but you will get more out of it with some previous experience. Rootstocks and scion woods will be available for sale as well as grafting equipment such as knives and tapes. We start at 10.00 am sharp so please arrive on time. A light lunch will be supplied and we finish around 2.00 pm. The annual blossom day at Joe's garden follow - free entry for participants.

We have always tried to keep our prices as low as possible, or even free, but we need to make a bit of money to pay the water bills and other necessities so we are following the lead of our friends at Garden Goodness Smithfield. Instead of the usual normal price and concession price there are two new levels which we hope will enable everyone who wants to be able to be there make it.
