Elburn Day’s 2025
Hobbytown Batavia is set to host an exciting RC car race event during Elburn Days 2025, adding a thrilling dimension to the annual community festival. This race will bring together hobbyists and enthusiasts from around the region to compete on a specially designed track, showcasing their skills with a variety of remote-control vehicles. Participants can look forward to a range of categories, accommodating different types of RC cars and skill levels, ensuring a fun and competitive environment for everyone involved. Spectators will have the opportunity to witness high-speed action and precision driving, making it a must-see attraction at Elburn Days. Sunday August 17th
The Elburn Days charity race is back. Sunday, August 17th at Lions Park Elburn Illinois.
Entry fee is $10.00 a class, limit 4 entries per person.
We recommend registering and pre-paying at HobbyTown Batavia but we will have registration available the day of the event from 8:00 am until 8:45 am.
Practice 7:00 am until 9:00 am
Drivers meeting at 9:15 am
Racing starts at 9:30 am
Some power will be available, but personal generators are recommended.
A limited number of house transponders will be available, but we recommend racers have personal transponders. MyLaps 2 & 3 wire as well as AMB personal transponders work with our system.
Racing will be 2 rounds of qualifying and mains with bump-ups. Qualifying will be rocket round (fastest of the 2 quals counts) with a resort between rounds. All qualifiers will be IFMAR style qualifying (Each racer starts their own qualifying clock as they cross the start/finish line the first time).
Awards for the top 3 in the A main of each class.
And as always, we will have a ton of giveaways.

1/8 scale E-Buggy. Limited to 4s 14.8-volt batteries
1/8 scale Nitro Buggy
1/8 scale Truggy & Monster Truck. Limited to 4s 14.8-volt batteries (Monster trucks are Revo, Losi LST, Savage or similar)
2wd Short Course. Open motor, limited to a 2s 7.4v LiPo or 8.4v NiMh battery
Stock 2wd Buggy. 17.5 motor and 2s 7.4v LiPo (Traxxas Bandit with Titan 12t motor is legal)
Juniors (13 and under) limited to a 2s 7.4v LiPo or 8.4v NiMh battery
4X4 Short Course. Open motor, limited to a 2s 7.4v LiPo or 8.4v NiMH battery
1/10 scale 2wd Open Off-Road. Open motor, limited to a 2s 7.4v LiPo or 8.4v NiMh battery. (2wd stadium truck, 2wd Stampede and similar)
1/10 scale 4wd Open Off-Road. Open motor, limited to a 2s 7.4v LiPo or 8.4v NiMh battery. (4x4 Stampede, Arrma Granite, 4x4 Rustler and similar)
Arrma MOJAVE Traxxas Maxx Slash limited to a 4s 14.8v LiPo battery
