PRACTICE
The 5Rhythms™ Embodiment Basics
A Four Session Series with Chloe Goodwin.
The 5Rhythms teaches 5 specific movement patterns as the basis for endless somatic exploration. The patterns: Flowing, Staccato, Chaos, Lyrical, and Stillness are rhythmic gateways into archetypal realms of body, heart, mind, soul, and spirit. Sequenced together they create an integrative movement cycle, a 5Rhythm Wave.
The discipline of the 5Rhythms method returns again and again to the intelligence of this patterned cycle moving through the body. Practicing the form recasts our embodiment, and becomes a reliable map to creative, authentic, intuitive being both on and off the dance floor.
In this 4 part series we will
-Learn the 5 movement patterns as the basis for embodied practice
-Explore the meditation, metaphor, and medicine of each pattern.
-Find our own body's sustainable way to dance ad 5Rhythms Wave.

About The 5Rhythms
The 5Rhythms™ is a body-based awareness practice created and developed by artist, theater director and author Gabrielle Roth. The practice centers around the idea that if you put the psyche in motion, it will heal itself. Movement is the medicine, the metaphor and the meditation. The 5Rhythms are: Flowing, Staccato, Chaos, Lyrical and Stillness™. Through progressive levels of discipline, The 5Rhythms practice leads to depth work in emotional, mental and spiritual embodiment. A combination of movement, music, dance, meditation, play, theater, ritual, individual, partner and group work are employed as embodied transformation tools.
