West Coast Swing

Join us for a night of FREE dancing, with a beginner West Coast Swing lesson! No experience or partner necessary!

7:00-9:00pm on Thursday, September 11 at the Carroll N Clark Community Hall in El Portal.

West Coast Swing is a partner dance characterized by an elastic look that results from its extension-compression technique of partner connection and is danced primarily in a slotted area on the dance floor. It is typically danced to medium-speed pop songs from the last few decades.

West Coast Swing is in large part defined by an emphasis on musicality and connection. The dance allows for both partners to improvise steps while dancing together.
