Come and discern with us the complex liminal tensions of Andres Muro's Art.
Born and raised in Buenos Aires, with a Jewish and Peruvian heritage, and shaped by years living on the U.S.–Mexico border, between Chicano and white cultures, Muro’s art reflects a life spent in between worlds.
His work captures multiple dualities: vivid, joyful colors paired with complex, ritualistic forms. Muro describes his visual language as “naïve synthetic cubism”—a style that weaves together innocence and sophistication, childlike wonder and intellectual depth.
The exhibit will be framed by the music of the celebrated border intellectual and activist, David Romo, also a composer and leader of the band Los Liminals.
