Surfistas del Sistema (abbreviated SDS) is an indie pop and synthpop band from Argentina, formed in 2013 in Buenos Aires. It is made up of Fran Frione (vocals and guitar), Cisco Achaval (drums), and Rama Vázquez (bass). In 2014, they were nominated for Best Alternative Rock/Pop Album at the Gardel Awards. The name of the band came about during a retreat that Frione attended, accompanied by the son of the French mime Marcel Marceau, who also taught yoga. During that time, he told him, 'You are a surfer of the system.' This phrase inspired the name of their group in 2011, and two years later, they released their self-titled debut album. In 2015, they met Diego Herrera from Caifanes and moved to Mexico. In 2019, they redefined their style by blending rock and pop, and presented SOS at the Pepsi Center. Among their main musical references, they mentioned Argentine Rock, Virus, Gustavo Cerati, Soda Stereo, Zoé, and Porter. They have recorded nine studio albums: Surfistas.
