Chalk the Walk at Gold Fest
Grab your chalk and help us fill downtown El Dorado with creativity! Chalk the Walk is part of Gold Fest, and everyone is invited to join in. Whether you are an experienced artist or just someone who loves to doodle, this is your chance to turn the sidewalks into your canvas.
How it works
Sign up by September 15 to claim your spot.
Stop by Equality El Dorado on September 19 to pick up your space assignment and a box of chalk if you need one.
Create your masterpiece anytime from September 21 to 25.
Our judges will make the rounds on Friday, September 26 and winners will be announced the same day.
Prizes
We are keeping it simple with two categories:
Artist
Novice
One winner from each category will receive $100 in Gold Fest Tokens, which can be used at the Artisan Market or with the food trucks.
The Theme
All artwork should be Gold Fest Themed. Think celebration, community pride, and everything that makes El Dorado shine.
