It's been a while since we last had a guest teacher… but the wait is over! 🎉
International blues, fusion, and lindy hop teacher Erik Nieland will be gracing us with a visit to teach a special two-hour workshop! Afterwards, we'll enjoy a potluck diner dansant and share dances, dinner and drinks! 🥗🍰💃🕺
✨WHAT TO EXPECT
In this workshop we'll explore how blues dance technique can improve your lindy hop. Improvisation will be at the core: where does it come from, and how can you invite it fully into your dancing? We'll play with ways to shift from your head into your body, so your movement feels more natural, playful, and connected. The goal is to discover new freedom in your lindy hop by tapping into tools from blues. 🎶

After the workshop, we invite you to stay a little longer for a cozy potluck dinner dansant! 🥳 We don't want the day to end just yet, so we'll share some lovely dances, delicious food and good company while putting the workshop inspiration into practice. Let’s all bring something tasty to share! 😊 (there's a fridge to store food in during the workshop)
💡Of course, you're still welcome to come to the potluck even if you couldn't make it to the workshop!
We'll play mostly lindy hop music with a little bit of blues sprinkled so you can experiment. ✨
