State Organs Film Screening & Expert Q&A

Masterfully directed by Peabody Award-winning filmmaker Raymond Zhang and accompanied by an evocative score from Emmy Award-winning composer Daryl Bennett State Organs has garnered 40 international accolades and was an official contender for Best Documentary Feature at the 97th Academy Awards. 

Based on true events the film chronicles the heart-wrenching 20-year journeys of two families as they relentlessly search for their loved ones who mysteriously disappeared while in police custody. Along the way they uncovered a systemic state-sanctioned forced organ harvesting operation—one that continues to this day.

Screening will be followed by an expert Q&A panel session.
