If you're new to witchcraft, you've probably noticed that there's an abundance of spellbooks on the market, but all of them seem to be missing...something. Traditionally, that's for a reason. For thousands of years, you learned magic directly from someone else. A family member, or because you knew someone who knew someone. It may have been to keep particular strengths and knowledge within the family, or because witchcraft accusations were a quick path to torment and death. But even once it became safe to publish witchcraft books more widely, vital bits and pieces were kept secret. Partly, it was assumed you would also be learning from an actual person, but also...for the reader's safety. If an unprepared reader started casting random spells, things could go very wrong. So until the reader could learn all of the proper steps, these unprepared spells wouldn't have any effect.
But these days, many people learn almost the entirety of their magical knowledge from books and the internet (oh, the internet...a blessing and a bane.) So how can you learn those missing bits if you don't know someone with the experience and knowledge?
Good news! Deb, a practicing witch for over 30 years, is putting together a new class: all of the essential information and techniques you need to get started for real in your spell-crafting practice.
This class will meet on four separate Thursday evenings with the following schedule:
You'll learn:
Each lesson will include theory and practical components. You will get hands-on with five different spells over the course of the three lessons. There will also be handouts and homework to complete between each lesson. You will need a notebook and pen (or some other note-taking method) for each lesson, and possibly specific tools or items for later lessons (but Deb will go over that during each preceeding lesson.)
Be prepared to attend all three lessons and participate in the homework to get the full benefit of this class. The material covered in each lesson will apply to the homework practice and the next lesson. Deb will not be able to provide lesson materials outside of scheduled class times.
Payment Options:
This is a small class. Tickets are only available online. Attendees have a choice between paying the full ticket value online, or paying a 50% deposit ($60 +EventBrite fees) online, and paying the remaining balance in-store on or before 6pm on May 1st, 2025. Any remaining balance must be paid before the start of the first lesson.
